The Myler 5″ HBT Shank with Low Medium-Wide Ported Barrel Mouthpiece (MB 33) is a Level 3 Myler bit and is produced from stainless steel. Due to the nature of the mouthpiece on this Myler bit (1 1/2″, wide port and the fact that it doesn’t rotate onto the tongue), it applies very little to no pressure to the tongue, instead predominately working off the lips, bars chin and poll. This lack of tongue pressure means that it is most suited to riders with great experience and horses that are trustworthy and respond well to commands. This mouthpiece is made of polished Sweet Iron which naturally oxidizes or rusts. Harmless to horses, it has a sweet taste and promotes salivation.
